Yes!! Success! n_n

I am satisfied with my presentation. It completly filled the time while keeping the crowd entertained. When it came time for questions and answers, I was able to answer each person's question appropriatly. I was also real happy that my mom was able to attend and she also bought snacks! Of course there are somethings that I wish were different. I had a slide show with further information about my project on it. Unfortunatly, it wasn't saved when I revisited my u-drive. Oh well! The show must go on right? I had to do the next best thing, which was show a short video that taught me a lot of what I know now. The crowd seemed to really enjoy it too. If I could go back I might write a few things on a note card so I can remember some of the important things that I planned to incorporate. I can't say I'm unsatisfied though. Infact I hope all my presentations hence forth go that well or better.

.: Ellie Goulding 'Starry Eyed' :.

Elle Goulding

Over the last week or so I have been listening to a new artist named Elle Goulding. I love this girl! She is so fabulous in her various sounds of mixed pop, hip hop, andm 70's sounding music. She is an English singer and songwriter. To me she sometimes sounds a lot like another artist I like named La Roux. She is just 25 but you can tell she has been singing for a while and what I love about her most, is that she's so different. Her style is the same but she switches up the sound of her songs and I have yet to find one that I haven't liked. Finally, the fate of music is turning around, for a minute there I thought the music industry lost its way. Lately, I have been finding many new artists that I like who are looking to save music. Thank goodness! I highly suggest you listen to Elle Goulding.

Here Goes Nothing

I've really been getting a lot done on my project. This video editing stuff is reallly time consuming consistant work. It assures me more and more that I do not wish to be an editor but a director. I have cut and edited clip after clip, the timeline for my films is so long but so far my video is only about ten minutes long. All that hard work to reach ten measly minutes. I stil have more footage left to work with, and plenty more to do so it will definately measure to more than what I have so far. I am hoping for an entertaining final product. I did change somethings that I origionally planned to do. For example I am no longer getting  to actors to hook up on a date. Its simply too much in the amount of time I have, but I still feel pretty confident that the video will be enjoyed and my presentation will be a success.

Get This

I was just thinking about the other week when our class went to Lindenwold Park to explore. We were supposed to be relating the things outside to our projects. Jaylysa said the funniet thing, she said, " The weeds remind my of some peoples weaves". That really tickled me because some peoples weaves do look like a disgusting tangled mess. Jaylsa, I think you'll get a kick out of this. I know a lady who's a friend of my parents, I won't give any names. This lady is a real weve fanatic. So one time she was in the car riding down some street in New York. A young Indian girl comes walking past with the longest most beautiful you ever wanted to see. This lady, whom of which is very close to me, asks the girl if she could buy her hair right off her head. She was willing to pay a lot of money and young girl said yes because where she's from they don't have a lot of money and hair doesn't mean as much to her. So my moms friend went in to car got a pair of sisscors and actually cut her hair right there on the spot and took it to a place to get it made into a weave. MMmm mm mm. Is that ghetto or what? I got to love that lady though :)

Pretty Happy

I realized a special gift I have that's going to make me good at what I want to do with my future. As I chitter chattered on the phone all night, I heared my friend laughing until he started to cough. "It's funny but its not that funny", I thought. Then he said, "You're good at using similies. You always paint the funniest pictures in my head". I was like "really"? Then I connected that with directing because that ofcourse is what directing is all about (and more ofcourse). At least I know I have potential, because when I actually stop to think about it, I do use similies a lot. Maybe not so much in my writing, but when I speak, especially on the phone, I get my best ideas-image wise. Just one more thing to be excited about!

What does it mean to you?

As the end draws nearer, I take time to relax and enjoy what's left of this miserable school year. Just playing, this year was pretty fun, I did a lot of things that I've been wanting to do since freshman year-like get on stage. And I am so grateful for this senior project class because every year I would ask myself, "what do I want to be"? Its a tough question because honestly I feel I'm great at a lot of stuff. I don't discriminate. But when it comes to what I love, that has always been art. Any form of expression, like music, film, photography, those are the thinkgs I knew I'd enjoy doing the most. With senior project I am getting a taste for what I want to get into. More than that, I'm gaining experience so I can actually be good in it.
