A day on Broadway

Yesturday I took a trip with my fellow theatre friends to Broadway where we saw Spiderman! Many had there own opinions but if you ask me, the show was an awesome sight to see; which overall salidified my view the play. I won't lie, there were some things that I didn't like about the show, so I'm going to get those out of the way right now. The show starts of with three teens who are basically narating the story...yeah I didn't like their parts. They were perfectly good actors, but what bothered me was their redundant part in show. The characters took away from the overall seriousness of Spiderman. I felt as though they were kids looking at Spiderman t;hrough a history book. I must admit the story line sequence could have been better, and it could have had mor engaging fights. Otherwise th;e play was astonishing. Spiderman, The Green Goblin, and Aracnid were flying through the air, doing dagerous tricks. Mary Jane was tied up by her wrists with ropes when Green Goblin came and cut the ropes, leaving her to fall in slow motion underground. Women were swinging on ribons doing amazing stunts and I loved it. The set was designed to seem like a comic book or a newspaper. All I have to say to that is Fantastic! The actors put their heart into their roles, they were very believable, but what was best about each performance was the singing. I loved all the songs that were sung because their voices wer beautiful and unique. If I wer a citic I'd give the show four stars

Thanks Spidey

So for senior project we are required to present a huge project that teaches the audience all about the topic we've been researching. Obviously, I'm going to create a movie for my project, I simply haven't written it yet. What I do know is the genre of the film. I'm going for an action, comedic type of vibe with a little drama and maybe some love. Now that I think about it, the movie is going to be a little bit of everything because I'm a person of variety. I was at my dad's house over the weekend simply watching youtube videos. I came across this old song by Simple Plan from the Spiderman 1 soundtrack, it's called "I feel so". I was sure once I heard it, it was going to be in my movie. It's just one more thing to be excited about, and even through I don't know the script of the movie yet, the song gave me an idea for one of the fight scenes. Yes!

A NEW DAY

Goodevening guests. My name is Deja Lee! I have here tonight with me my mother, Charity Lee and my mentor Mrs. Laura Vaughn. My sponsor's name is Dave who unfortunatly couldn't be here tonight. The project I will be taking up is film making. My research paper will be about the elements that I feel are key in creating a great movie. A film should be able to do three things:1. change your mood, 2. Keep your interest, and 3. have you somehow relate to it. I hope to become a director and write, edit, cast, and appear in some of the movies I create; something like Clint Eastwood and M Night Shyman. Recently, writers like Bryan Lee Omaley, and Seth Rogen have really caught my eye. They're making movies that I've never seen before, it's like a new era of film and I love it! Some of my favorite movies in the past have been Moulin Rouge, Zombieland, Interview with a Vampire, etc. Here's a clip from what a movie Bryan Lee Omaley created, "Scott Pilgrim v.s The World"; which, by the way, is probably my favorite movie out right now: )
