It's Not What You Think

I think that it is important that I write a blog like this; just so I can spread my introspective thinking. I'd like to ask does anyone really know what love is? It's funny because when you ask a question like this, many people who have been in two, three year relationships jump up and say "I know love all too well". These are the people I see constantly fighting with their mate, then the next day in love; constantly feeling sick, staying up late to text the person, an bending their own rules to keep it together with their special person. Just because you've felt that aching pain in your gut about someone doesn't mean that's the person you're meant to be with. Those of you in painful, up down relationships, ....STOP! Just end it, 'cause love is not pain. You want to know what love is? Love is a soft place to land. It should never be difficult because it is meant for your own personal comfort. The whole idea that love is hard, and it makes you do this and that is foolish adolescent thinking. If you've ever observed older couples, you notice that most of the time they've got it together. The idea is to do what is pleasing to you and respect your mate. If you're thinking you love that person who has you up late at night wondering what they're doing , I'm here to tell you, you don't. What you do love is the drama, believe it or not. That's what you respond to the greatest and when you're ready for love, which I don't think any of us young adults are, but when you're really ready for love you will shy away from drama and pain.
