Why is it that we stopped using letters? Oh yeah, because we developed cell phones and email. Yeah, I am pretty greatful for these things but there's some thing about writing letters that feels so good. Not like a professional letter just a personal letter you would write to your friend. I've been writing to a friend of mine who is in the navy and there's something so liberating about it. It seems today kids have no reason to write expressively for their own enjoyment. They save all their writing energy for school essays where they need it. But I am definatly happy about using my ability to write for something that I believe is more meaningful.
I agree! I love receiving personalized letters or cards! For some reason it just seems to mean more to me.
